Want to explore the farthest reaches and the deepest fathoms of your imagination, and use the tools necessary to bring your craft to the next level? Then have we got a class for you! CREATIVE WRITING! Learn how to craft fleshed-out characters, use prose to influence the emotions of your readers and otherwise be awesome at life! (WARNING): This is a heavy writing class. There will be lots and lots of writing. Not for the feint of heart.

Art - Ms. Cleaveland

You will be able to learn and create various forms of art from different cultures and time periods. You will be creating art that will be displayed throughout the school. You'll be expected to take notes on art history and techniques. Your grade will be dependant  on effort, participation and passing test and quizzes. Discover your artistic abilities!

Music - Ms. Green

The main focus of the music elective will be to learn to read music. Your instrument will be your voice. The music you will be singing is contemporary music, or music you hear on the radio. You will also study music throughout history. Be prepared to sing alone and with others. There will be some note taking on music theory and music history. You will not pass music if you refuse to sing. Your final exam will be a performance.

Stagecraft - Mr. Laird

The Drama and Stagecraft course will focus on the basic aspects of theatrical production. You will experience all areas of theatre, including scenery, costumes, makeup, lighting, sound, directing, acting and more. You will learn the basics of putting a fully realized theater show into production and have the opportunity to explore the many jobs associated with live stage performance. This elective will involve several hands on projects. Students should be prepared to complete both oral and written work in association with these projects. For more information on this class please speak with Mr. Laird.

Leadership - Ms. Leonard
